I can't tell you how hard the whole situation was for me... And there are days I felt the same as you. That said, I made it through... I'm almost off of probation, I made it through 11 years of prison, I have a good job, I have my own apartment, I make over $70,000 a year! No, I don't really have tons of friends and I don't have a partner in life... But I have figured out many of the reasons that I did what I did... And I'm becoming much more comfortable in the person that I am today instead of the person I was when it's all went down 15 years ago for me. You just have to go one day at a time, and try to find support in the people that do support you! Best of luck, and stay strong! You can make it through this, and be a better person because of it!!

I am at a second hand employer as well in manufacturing, specifically plastic extrusion. That said, I've worked myself up since being hired in 2019 to training and possible leadership positions. I make almost $30 an hour which are my state is a pretty good living. Your best options are small family-owned type businesses, manufacturing, second chance employers, or being your own boss... I will say that manufacturing isn't the best field in the world, but hours are almost always available... And I make a good living all things considered. In the end, think about what people don't want to do... And those are probably the things that you will be able to do just because of supply and demand needs. There are plenty of jobs that people don't really want to do where you can make very decent money... Just because of the fact that people don't want to do those jobs. Not to mention, it makes for pretty good job security. Also, if you're a people person, I would suspect that the restaurant industry is very open to employment for the same reason... Everybody eats, but nobody wants to work at a restaurants these days. Hope this helps a little bit... Feel free to write back anytime!
Yes. Life is still worth living. I attempted suicide twice and two years later I am glad I didn’t succeed. Life will be different than the typical normal but it can still be worth living. I am helping people in my vocation, having meaningful interactions with my kids and developing a healthy social group.
There's super good news! What you are going through here is likely to be the most difficult part in your journey. Once you are through the trail the real healing can begin. I know first hand how much this feels like a mountain you simply cannot climb, but I'm here to tell you that the time and energy you are experiencing right now is worth it!
You're going to come out the other side of this a much better human being and honest, probably more aware of who you are than better than 90% of the people walking the planet. It's going to seem like it sucks for sure - but stick it out - it IS WORTH IT!
It does get better. Like everyone has said this is the hardest part. Are you state or federal?

The waiting is difficult, not knowing. But I went through ~3 years of waiting to go to prison, then 5 years in there, and have now been out for about 6 years. I'm not going to lie and say everything's back to normal. I have some family that won't speak to me anymore, and work and housing were full of speedbumps.
But I also have family that doesn't care, and friends that knew my case from the beginning and didn't care. I've even lived with the same friends on 2 separate occasions, pretrial and now! I've had a few jobs I enjoyed, and the last one was good $$, but I decided I wanted to try to work less and concentrate on writing a novel. And it's exciting to be at a point in my life, despite all my legal troubles, where I can do that.
You said there are still people that love you, you should consider yourself very fortunate, and focus on that. Even if whatever plans you had before all this are gone now, make new ones, new goals, new hobbies, whatever.

What do you do for a living?
Many thanks:)
I work in auto manufacturing. On the assembly line. You work hard, but it pays well and has great benefits.
Most definitely worth it!! Don’t give up you can do it. We were all most likely at that point early on in the process. Once your sentencing is over and you know how much time you are facing and what facility you might be sent to a lot of the unknowns are gone and you start to get yourself back together. Hang in there!!
I'm in the same boat. Have you gone to a therapist yet?
Right now I'm living things one day at a time and expriancing the same feelings you probably are. My therapist has told me of people with similar and even worse contact crimes able to move one. It's hard...but not impossible, the people with support do better.
Look at what you have around you and consider what you can do right now.
Wishing us both the best!
I think it is... after getting off prole I went to Church of Peyote for a change of prospective.. It helped greatly... and some mushrooms ever few months... I made friends and lovers that know of my crimes. I had many advantures.. learned to swim, did some hardhat diving, built a few bridges, bolted pipelines in Alaska, scuba dived up and down the California coast and associated islands. Shaked hands with actors and congressmen (thru construction work). Got my ham radio 3 license. I can communicate to a satellite (just need the money and materialsl to build one and launch it) I am working on my helicopter license .. Explored some spirituality, spent some time with yogi cult to learn that life is every changing.. and it continues again and again till you evolve. A wise man at a Hollywood S&M club once.said to me has a barebreasted mistress spanked me.. "This to shall pass" things went a bit off the hook after parole.. but things settled a bit down since I gotten older.
"Life sucks and then you die" - my 7th grade science teacher
Doesn't really matter what kind of life you're living, they all suck and eventually you get to die. The better questions here is just, "Is life worth living?"
I started my own business doing landscaping. It lasted a good 7 months until the grass stopped growing. Learned alot in that time. After the business teetered off I went back to warehouse work with a company that mainly hires Latino immigrants, felons, and yours truly. Been there for almost a year now. My plan is to get my CDL, and transfer to their trucking division by the end of this year. Go from making 500/week down season, and 1000/week up season to 1500/weekly across the board. Also got a polygraph coming up that my PO low-key hinted could be my exit from SOTP after about 9 months. Things are as good or bad as you want them to be. Two years ago I was living in a tent in the snow working 2 jobs with no transportation but my feet. Now I live in a huge 180,000 house in the country. I plan on putting a down payment on it by the end of next year. You gotta want it bad enough.
Sorry, are you saying that you are making that kind of money in a warehouse?
Yeah. Lots of OT. About 84 hours a week at peak.
And can you manage those kind of hours?
If you tough it out you'll eventually get used to just being at work everyday while your money stacks somewhat. Fitting in SOTP, and PO visits kinda blows but it's better than prison, I guess.
Just wanted to tell you my story. Charge was child pornography 5 counts. I was 15 when everything was said and done i I was 21 2010. 5 years probation and after that I could partition the court off the registry. I got off in 2019 during this time I did 3 things that helped me. 1). Fitness: Gym. studied Stoicism. 2). Money: I went to the dark Net but I learned a lot and made a drop shipping website. I made over 500k in sales and at my prime I had at least 300k to my name. 3). Knowledge. Everything I done in my life it was a struggle and along the way was pain and adversity. But I learned to add value to myself has a man. GED and fitness aka level the fuck up. I’m now 35 I have my own house and car and my credit score is 723 lol. If you want to end it over a dumb decision then perhaps life isn’t meant for you.
Hey I'm in the same boat, fitness is my therapy and looking into going online. Are you still in drop shipping? I've been studying ecom for about a week now. Trial and error right now but looking for a mentor that could help me get things rolling. I'd love to learn from you if that is possible. 🙏🏽
Hi there, I could also use a mentor to do an online e-commerce business.
I have some experience with it but I picked the wrong product and messed up but I want to try again.
Many thanks!
As others have said, right now is the likely the worst part. The depression, the stress, the worries... But things will get better. Others are doing well in the USA post conviction and I am one of many who are doing well after leaving the US.
Much of your life will be what you do with it.
; pause my friend! You’re worth it
I did 2015 oct to 2017 Feb. No parole, no probation, no restrictions no designation on fl
Wow that’s lucky for Florida
So with my story I served 3-6 years idsi I met my victim on a dating app he lied to me about his age I was supposed to have 5 years probation after. But it never went through. I pled guilty I’m off parole now. Bail was hard prison was hard but I did a lot of drugs in jail granted not the right way to do it but my time flew by. Parole was hard I went back because I was late to appointments I did 3 more months that was hard. Luckily I have a partner. It wasn’t as bad as you think
Ehh I feel like if I were to be sentenced for a few years I'd take hella drugs too and be sober/conscious as least as I could to make time go faster
Life gets better! You will hit rock bottom and then you take one at a time and rebuild your life. No matter what you have done, suicide is NOT the answer. God has a plan for you specially the ones that turn their back to him
